Position Overview


The Spa Manager will be a key member of the spa’s leadership team, supporting the Spa Director while overseeing daily operations with local autonomy and leadership. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to managing the spa environment, ensuring service excellence, strong team performance, and exceptional guest satisfaction.


This position involves optimizing front desk operations, leading a high-performance sales team, and ensuring revenue growth through strategic membership and package sales. Reporting directly to the Spa Director based in New York, the Spa Manager will play a critical role in driving topline sales, improving operational flow, enhancing client experience, and maintaining accountability across the team.


Key Responsibilities


Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth


  • Drive membership and package sales through the execution of high-conversion sales strategies.
  • Lead by example, exceeding individual sales goals while coaching and motivating the team to achieve the same.
  • Monitor key sales metrics, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Develop and execute targeted promotions and initiatives to encourage membership growth.
  • Provide ongoing training in luxury sales techniques, customer engagement, and upselling strategies.
  • Ensure every guest interaction contributes to revenue generation, customer retention, and referrals.


Operations & Team Leadership


  • Oversee daily front desk operations, ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Supervise, train, and inspire the front desk team to deliver seamless, high-touch client service.
  • Hold team members accountable for meeting individual and collective sales goals.
  • Optimize scheduling, workflows, and staffing to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Lead by example in communication, professionalism, and service delivery.
  • Manage the booking system to ensure accurate appointments, attention to guest preferences, and reduction of inefficiencies.
  • Resolve guest issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Spa Director on events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Take initiative in proposing and implementing improvements to enhance operations and guest satisfaction.


Client Experience & Problem Resolution


  • Maintain a luxury-level guest experience, ensuring every client feels valued and engaged.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client concerns, ensuring swift and professional resolution.
  • Implement retention strategies to promote loyalty and repeat business.
  • Uphold company policies while balancing client satisfaction and operational needs.


Qualifications & Requirements


  • Proven success in a sales-driven leadership role within a luxury spa, hospitality, or wellness environment.
  • Strong track record in membership and package sales with consistent achievement of revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional sales acumen with strong closing, upselling, and retention skills.
  • Experience with POS and booking systems, and proficiency in sales analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and de-escalation abilities.
  • Polished, professional presentation aligned with luxury service standards.
